Life insurance in Jodhpur, sized to what your family would need
Term plans and savings plans, worked out from your income, your loans and the people who depend on you, not from what earns the most commission.
Term insurance: protection first
A term plan pays a fixed sum to your nominee if you die during the policy term. If you outlive the term there is no payout, and that is why a term plan gives the most cover for the premium. For most people with dependants or a home loan, a term plan is where life insurance should start.
Savings and investment plans
Endowment, money-back and unit-linked plans (ULIPs) combine life cover with saving or investment. They suit some goals, but the life cover is usually smaller for the same premium, and surrendering one in the early years can cost you. Before you decide, we take you through the returns, charges and lock-in from the insurer's own benefit illustration.
How much cover?
We start from what your family would actually face: replacing your income for the years they would need it, paying off your loans, and goals like your children's education, less the savings and cover you already have. The policy is sized to that number, not to a multiple from a sales brochure.
Getting it right on paper
- Disclose honestly: your health, habits such as smoking, and any policies you already hold. A claim can be questioned on non-disclosure.
- Name your nominees, and update them after marriage or the birth of a child.
- Tell your family the policy exists and where its documents are kept.
If the worst happens
The nominee submits a claim form to the insurer with the death certificate, the policy details and identity documents, and the insurer may ask for more depending on the circumstances. A family dealing with a loss should not have to face an insurer alone. We help them with the paperwork and follow the claim through.
Questions about life insurance
What is the difference between term insurance and life insurance?
Term insurance is one kind of life insurance: pure protection for a fixed term, with nothing paid back if you outlive it. Other life plans combine cover with savings or investment and do pay something back, but they give less cover for the same premium.
How much term insurance should I take?
Enough for your family to replace your income for as long as they would need it and clear your loans, less what you already have saved and insured. We work the figure out with you from your own numbers.
Is it better to buy term insurance young?
Premiums are based partly on your age and health when you buy, so buying earlier generally costs less, and on most term plans the premium then stays level for the whole term.
Which life insurers do you work with?
Our current insurance partners are listed on the Partners page.
Can I have more than one life insurance policy?
Yes. You declare your existing policies when you apply for a new one, and each insurer decides how much cover it will offer you.
Benefits, charges and exclusions are as per each insurer's policy wording and benefit illustration.
